Casting call for a 1 6⁄8 page scene from the film script Ice Shack
THE STORY:
Rural Minnesota, early 2000, winter. Noah, who works in a punk style diner, gets a phone call from his mother to take care of his ill grandfather, Moses, in Moses’ house by a Minnesota lake. They haven’t seen each other in a long time, and Moses is very unhappy with Noah when he first sees him.
THE CAST:
Noah: early 20s, works in a punk diner, who goes to live and takes care of his ill grandfather Moses.
Moses: Noah’s grandfather, who has diagnosed with serious illness. Used to be good at hunting and have an ice shack on a lake in Minnesota. He built his own house. He is old-fashioned and stubborn, but at the same time cares about his connection with his own family.
Casting regardless of race, gender, experience, etc.
Actors will receive breakfast, and receive a digital copy of the completed scene for their acting reel.
