The St. Croix Festival Theatre Internship Program offers an immersive, hands-on summer experience in professional theatre production, performance, education, and administration. Based in scenic St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin—just an hour from the Twin Cities—interns work across multiple performance venues while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Interns receive focused training in acting, stage management, technical theatre, arts education, and theatre administration, with opportunities to perform or work on Shrek The Musical, The Revolutionists, and The Three Musketeers. The program includes a professional workshop series, teaching artist positions in youth Playmaker summer camps, weekly improv performances, understudy opportunities, and participation on production and administrative teams.
Interns receive a weekly stipend, and housing is provided for artists traveling from out of town, along with additional paid opportunities through teaching and improv. Academic credit may be available, making the program ideal for passionate, collaborative artists seeking comprehensive professional theatre experience.
